About Me
Hi, thanks for checking my page out! I'm Wendy Li and I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I studied Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside and got involved in several of my campus' STEM organizations.
With my involvement, I really wanted to dedicate my time to helping increase diversity in the field of STEM. I was the director of Rose Hack, my university's first ever women-centric hackathon. It was hugely successful with overwhelming support from over 40 corporate sponsors, students, and faculty. The event was partially hosted by UCR's engineering organization, Women In Computing of which I was the treasurer. With my dedication and passion for helping marginalized groups in the field of stem, I was awarded with a scholarship to Grace Hopper Celebration 2018 as a Grace Hopper Scholar.
Adjust your vanity's lighting without your hands. Your mirror will display the current time and give you a welcome message as well as automatically adjust its brightness.
Play from a selection of songs through a speaker. The song title will be displayed on the LCD screen. The LED's connected will light up and dance with the song.
I do freelance graphic design in both static and animated designs. I have worked with 2D and 3D graphics and have worked with a large variety of clients. You can find my dribbble here. My portfolio and other works can be seen here.
I have a 4 year old chartreux and a one and a half year old Siberian named Smokey Reggiano & Lasagna.
UI/UX Design as well as front end development. Portfolio coming soon!
I love natural makeup looks but I also have an affinity for thick dramatic lashes and a bold winged eyeliner. I have been practicing since middle school and also did competetive special effects makeup for theater competitions.
From Cinderella to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, I helped create and dress actors for plays and musicals in highschool through college. I have surprising abilities when it comes to a hand stitch.
Since highschool, I have been attending as well as helping plan hackathons. My first hackathon ever was CodeDay in San Francisco and since then, I have attended or helped organize over 20 hackathons including Citrus Hack and Rose Hack.
One of my favorite things to do at home is to bake. Some of my favorite things to bake are shortbread, chocolate chip cookies, and cupcakes. Every year for the holidays, I bake my family a couple dozen macarons in multiple flavors (usually matcha and coffee are my favorite). Check out my blog post on what I'm up to now!
